In August 2019 members and friends went to The
Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Although the sun came and went the weather was just right to enjoy the surroundings. Two exhibitions drew our attention - Ella Doran: Sheep to Seat, Fleece to Floor and Transformations: Cloth to Clay. Both were worth the visit but the second one from the National Arts Education Archive was eye opening, displaying young people’s work in schools during the 1950s to 1980s. Coffee, exhibitions and lunch soon passed the time before moving on to a fabric warehouse - Fabworks - this was well worth a visit! |
